Faire Clothing
Renaissance
faire clothing is the base for anyone getting started performing at Renaissance
festivals. Over the past few years, we've developed an incredible assortment
of clothing and other pieces of custom-handmade art which I'd like to
share.
The following
is a list of quality items we've bought at faire. If you are looking for
Renaissance Faire clothing, start here.
Marc's Endorsements:
House
of Dra
Shirts from Dra were the first items I ever bought at faire and her Kosack
shirts continue to be a favorite of mine. She also honored me once at
the Texas Renaissance Festival, by giving me a green silk vest which has
become a regular part of my Renaissance Faire attire.
Dubose
Designs
I designed a website for Kevin DuBose a couple years back. It hasn't done
nearly as well as the Leather Journal he designed for me. It's custom-made
with a Celtic knot on the front and a beautiful leafy green leather etching
on the back. Exquisite work. Now whenever we want a custom-made piece
of art, we go to Kevin.
Dresses
by Donna
We first met Donna at the now-deceased, West Texas Renaissance Festival.
It was cold and rainy, and I needed an all-purpose cloak. Donna made one
for me. Beautiful brown, machine-washable cloak that continues to serve
me well. Artfully done.
Becca's
Magic
Donna's cloak was perfect for warmer weather, but I needed a cold weather
cloak to. For that, I went to Becca. Becca is an artist. No two cloaks
are ever the same. I wear her cloak to work and compliments galore. What
can I say, it's well-designed to make it easy for me to stay warm and
still play the autoharp in cold weather.
But that's
not all she made for us. Becca's designed us shirts, dublets, hats, you
name it, she's done it! Pure artistic genius.
Imagination
Leather
A few years back, I needed a pouch to hold CDs. Hans came to the rescue.
I gave him full-artistic control. I remember when he brought me my pouch
that not goes Everywhere I go with the autoharp. He had a HUGE smile on
his face and showed me his masterpiece. He said, he knew it was for a
musician, so he carved a guitar on it with all these beautifully intricate
designs. It's wonderful piece of art that I'll always treasure.

Jim
Cook's Renaissance Faire Boots
Ye know how a lot of people say "satisfaction guaranteed"? Well,
usually, they don't expect you to take them up on that guarantee. So when
a local boot maker gave me that guarantee for some quality leather boots,
I decided to take him up on the offer. He'd made twenty pairs before me
that came out perfect. Mine didn't, but that's okay, because Jim kept
his promise and made some incrediblely comfortable boots. Just the thing
every working faire person needs.

Yes. Any Dead Jester can dance and crack jokes, but it takes the Brobdingnagian Bards to create fun music that will cure your itch for great faire music twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
